How do I get a Tax Clearance Certificate
A tax clearance certificate confirms a person's tax affairs are in order. The certificate indicates the person or entity's tax compliance status as at the date of the certificate.
A tax compliance status certificate is required in these instances:
- To prove you are a taxpayer.
- To prove your good standing status
- To prove your tax compliance status tcs

Yes a tax compliance certificate will be denied in the following instances:
- The taxpayer owes more than R1000 in outstanding tax debt or penalties
- Where debt repayment arrangements were not honoured
- There are outstanding tax returns
- If the taxpayer is not registered
