Trade creditors are the accounts you have to pay. Trade creditors is often also referred to as Trade Payables.

A trade creditor is a liability because the company owes this money to a creditor/supplier from whom they purchased.

What is the difference between a trade creditor and a trade debtor?

A trade creditor is liability meaning the company owes the trade creditor. A trade debtor on the other hand is an asset a good example are the client to whom sales invoices are made out to.
